What we're about

An informal group of technical communicators from across the (Phoenix) Valley of the Sun, this group meets regularly to chat about trends and issues in technical documentation, editing, illustration, instructional design, web design and similar fields.

We meet at various locations around the Valley, usually during breakfast or lunch hours, for a quick mealtime discussion. Topics can range from troubleshooting problems with tools such as RoboHelp or FrameMaker, to implementing new processes or methods such as DITA or ADDIE, to helping fellow technical communicators find jobs. The only cost for these informal events is the price of your own meal.

The MPTC meetup is sponsored by the non-profit Arizona Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC). Any dues or donations collected from this site will go directly to the Arizona Chapter STC (and may be tax deductible). You do NOT have to be an STC member to join or participate in this meetup, but non-STC members will pay non-member pricing if attending any Arizona Chapter STC events. Visit for more information on STC events.
