Park to park hike in Stuttgart – Schloss Garten Rosenstein Park – to Hohen Park

This would be 8 km easy hike through the several of the parks in center Stuttgart starting at the Hauptbahnhof. We would end up in the Hohen Park in Killesburg where we will get something to eat and drink. We would then return a short distance down the hill from Hohen Park and take the Ubahn to the Hauptbahnhof. Note that 20 people from the Stuttgart Ex-Pat group are already attending. Technical requirements: Easy Physical fitness: Must be able to walk for 2:30 minutes Total altitude meters: 100 m on the climb to Hohen Park Hiking time: 2 hours and 30 minutes plus time at the beer garden Hike description: We will leave the Hauptbahnhof and walk through the Schloss Garten Park towards Wilhelma Zoo. We will continue through Rosenstein Park and cross over the B27 and climb to Hohen Park where we will visit a beer garten. We will then descend from Hohen Park to the Ubahn stop on the B27. Folks who want to hike a bit further will have the option of continuing on to the Hauptbahnhof. To bring along: * good shoes (i do not know what the weather will be next week!) * raingear (it might start snowing/raining etc.) * water * smile and positive atmosphere In case the weather forecast is heavy snow and/or hard rain, this activity will be rescheduled.

It was a great initial meet up. The distance, duration, and difficulty were right for the group. Several people were interested in a more difficult event.
