What we’re about
This Meetup group is for people from the Stuttgart region (and beyond) who enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities as welll as social, cultural and educational activities. We meet about three to four times a month.
We are the "Metropolitan Club Stuttgart e.V". an international club, which roots go back to 1951, with a tradition of German-American friendship open for participants of all nations.

Hike to the Hessigheim Rock Gardens
We hike through vineyards and the picturesque wine town of Hessigheim and a natural hillside forest back to Besigheim. From the foot of the cliffs to the banks of the Neckar, steep-slope viticulture has been practiced for centuries, which is not only appreciated by local wine lovers.
On the way we will take a lunch brake at the "Felsengartenkellerei" in Hessigheim.Distance: approx. 12-14 km --- Height difference: approx. 200 m

empfohlene Tour Neckar, Wein und FelsengärtenTrain ride: approx. 30 Minutes to/back from Stuttgart Central Station to the Station in Besigheim
We use DB from Stuttgart Central Station and back:- We meet 10:00 AM at the beginning of track 10, close to "Le Crobag". ============> PLEASE BE ON TIME !
- Our train is MEX 12 leaving from Track 10 at 10.15 AM
- You can drive to the station in Besigheim and meet us there at 10.40 AM. ....... Parking should be no problem.
- We only take trains where you can use the 49€-Ticket/Deutschland-Ticket.
- You need to ORGANIZE your train ticket BY YOURSELF !
Refreschment/food is on your own account.
Please wear comfortable closed shoes. - You don't need hiking boots.
Please bring rain protection.
