The world’s first live broadcast dual nation $20,000 Hackathon.
Registration for the MiSK Hackathon is now open. The event is FREE to attend and to register you *must* sign up at www.miskhackathon.com.
Students/professionals in IT, science and healthcare, as well as all entrepreneurs, coders, developers and designers, are encouraged to apply to attend. However you don’t have to have purely technical skills to attend. So if you’re good at presenting, or just have brilliant around the theme (more on that below), you’re very welcome to join us.
Our event is on the 25-27 November, it takes place at the ILEC Conference Centre in Fulham and simultaneously in Riyadh. It’s a dual-nation event, where 18-32 year old participants will work in cross-cultural, mixed gender teams and collaborate in a live satellite broadcast linked event across two venues, mentored by world-class professionals in health, tech, innovation, start up/entrepreneurialism, creative business.
Themed the ‘Medical Internet of Things’, teams will dream up a health invention that takes the principles of connectivity and brings it to life in a health and medical arena. The winning team will have the chance to share a $15,000 1st prize, with two further prizes of $2,500 for best Customer Experience and Most Collaborative Team. The winners and runners up will also get a 2-day product development training course and mentoring sessions with some of the best brains in the business.
The actual Hackathon takes place over 48 hours on 25 and 26 November. Hackers need to be at the venue at 10am on Friday 25th. Judging day is 27 November.
Competing participants will experience:
- a variety of delicious and nutritious foods and soft drinks, all provided - a Snooze zone - a Chill out zone - a media pod - full connectivity and a live broadcast satellite link in which to collaborate with their Riyadh participants Plus, the prize package for the winning team, and one runner up.
