Marcelo, I did just watch the Elastic Search screen cast and it looks very interesting. Thinking as a developer I am wondering if rather than just using a package maybe digging a little deeper. Elastic search is built on Lucene and maybe it would be interesting to dig into Lucene instead of the higher level abstraction of it. If you understand Lucene then what Elastic search is doing is more or less a very nice wrapper similar to Solr. Just a thought. Or maybe another time.

How about having another event dedicated on Lucene only?

If somebody can cover the pros and cons of Solr4 vs Elastic Search.
Why would one go for one over another.

I love to attend this event- we are using Solr4 and willing to explore elastic search. But unfortunately I have to attend another training class. I love to join any follow up conversation for this.

Very topical, about to start using ElasticSearch on some projects.

Hey Carl! We're using Elastic Search at 3CInteractive. However, the presenter has a deep back ground on the actual technology of elastic search (not jus the API), so I will ask him.
