Join us Wednesday, May 1st at the SPARK East Innovation Center in downtown Ypsi to connect with the Ethereum community, network with free pizza and refreshments, hear from two fantastic speakers and learn about blockchain technology!
All the Details:
Neil Kane, Tech entrepreneur & Director of Undergraduate Entrepreneurship at MSU
The rise in popularity and adoption of blockchain follows a very similar path to the rise of the Internet in the late 1990s. Then, as now, the technology was perceived to be immature, insecure and non-scalable. Eventually those problems and perceptions went away. Will the same thing happen to blockchain? In this discussion, Neil Kane, who was a business development manager in the Internet customer unit for Microsoft in the late 1990s, will share his perspective of how that era parallels what is happening today.
A leading authority on technology commercialization, entrepreneurship and innovation, Neil D. Kane is the Director of Undergraduate Entrepreneurship at Michigan State University. He is the former co-Executive Director of the Illinois Technology Enterprise Center at Argonne and was EIR at the University of Illinois. He was the founding CEO of several startup companies based on university research in areas such as nanotechnology and advanced materials.
Neil holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from The University of Chicago. He attended graduate school at the Australian Graduate School of Management and studied in Japan on a scholarship from JETRO. Named a 2007 Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum, he twice attended their annual meeting in Davos. Recognized for Outstanding Entrepreneurship by NSF. Twice an invited witness on tech transfer for the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Research & Science Education. Contributor to Forbes.com

Totle, DEX aggregator
Decentralized trading doesn't have to suck. David Bleznak, CEO of Totle, will give an overview of the current DEX ecosystem, future goals, and how Totle plays a major part.
As an avid investor in the crypto markets, David Bleznak has been successful in picking winners among the many tokens and protocol coins that have emerged over the past few years. Noticing a lack of investing tools in the arena, he decided to create his own crypto asset management solution with Totle. David is a self-designated “dexpert” or expert in decentralized exchange platforms. He has studied the industry diligently while pushing the DEX space forward towards mainstream adoption.
