214 S Main St, Ann Arbor, MI
This is an introductory class covering the basics of processing your jpeg and raw images, (you don't need to own laptop or editing software to attend).
This course covers the BASIC STEPS required to get final images that POP!
I will cover using LIGHTROOM, PHOTOSHOP, MACPHUN and Simple FREE programs like Snapseed, and Pixlr.
You’ll learn how to adjust exposure to take advantage of the full range of lighting captured in your original image. You’ll discover how to see unwanted color casts in your photographs and learn quick ways to reduce and eliminate those. You will also be shown how to crop your images to obtain improved compositions. Contrast and saturation adjustments are essential to creating fine photographs, and you will learn how to use these as well. The last step in editing is sharpening. This is a critical stage in the editing process. You will see how to sharpen like a professional. Through knowledgeable editing, you’ll come to possess an increased ability to create images that will excite you and others more than ever before. You’ll leave this workshop with greater capacity to advance your unique photographic vision.
This workshop will be offered bi-monthly and personal instruction is available upon request.
"This workshop opened up a whole new world of editing to me! I used to feel like Lightroom was a big, mysterious monster I had to battle LOL (lets' face it, it IS daunting when you first open it! )... and I wasn't going to back down! I took home what I learned in Thomas' workshop and worked with it and experimented and I'm so excited because I now can actually USE the program instead of running away! Thanks, Thomas. Well done!"-Debbie M.
