How long have you been interested in photography?

Photography and myself go back to my early years when I purchased my first film camera (Canon A-1) the model should about give the time frame away (early 70's). With advent of digital photography I find interest has been rejuventated, whether it be, I seem to have more time on my hands or I have an interest to get far more serious with my shooting capabilities photography is back in my life in a big way.

What kind of camera do you use? (DSLR, point-and-shoot, make, etc...)

Currently I have a couple of the full frame Nikon sisters in my bag, with a fairly good compliment of "fast" lenses.

How do you want to grow as a photographer this year?

My goal is to make a career change sometime in the future and I am targeting photography the direction of this change. So this year is all about sharpening my skills and refind the groove I once had.

If you could pick one spot in the state of Michigan to spend a few days making photographs, where would that be?

This is a difficult question as there are so many wonderful opportunities in the state of MI. I guess it all depend on the time of year, but as a general answer to this question I would stay in the Southern region of the state as it offers not only the landscape opportunities, but also the street opportunities. As well as the numerous museums, gardens and estates.

Do you enjoy hiking, kayaking and camping?

I very much do like hiking and have many times gone for a long "day" walk on the local trails as offered by Kensington, Stoney Creek and Wilcot Mill Metro parks and yes I always have my gear with me.
