A dive into the Data Analytics journey: Data Cleaning & Preprocessing

Needs a location

What is the session about?
In this series of sessions, Hadeel will take you on a journey in Data Analytics, where she will be exploring each stage separately.
During this first phase, we will walk through the steps and aspects to consider cleaning your data and get it prepared to be processed and used to extract insights and make decisions (Preprocessing). To start with, we will learn how to have a general overview/summary of our dataset, then we will learn how to remove duplicates, get rid of inconsistencies, treat missing values and ultimately, filter out outliers. Hadeel will walk you through the whole preprocessing step, starting from choosing a good dataset, importing the necessary libraries and dependencies, all the way to getting a clean and neat dataset which is ready to be analyzed and processed.

Who is it aimed at?

  • Beginners to Python and Data Science. Some familiarity with programming recommended.
  • Anyone interested in diving deep into the Data Science field.

Why should you attend?
As we explore and dig deeper into the Data Analytics process, in this session you will learn how to clean and preprocess your data, in order to prepare and have it ready for the next steps. We will go through the data cleaning steps & process in detail, helping you gain an understanding of what the process looks like.

More learning/prerequisites:
For further learning, the following learn module is recommended, available on Microsoft Learn: Manipulate and clean data in Python - Learn | Microsoft Docs
