Microsoft Testing Stuff Sprint 3

Hello everyone,

We are now moving on to Sprint 3 of the Microsoft Testing Stuff Meetup group!

We have received some fantastic feedback on the first two events, and I look forward to seeing you on September 9th!

I am excited to announce the first speaker for Microsoft Testing Stuff Sprint 3 will be Giles Davies, Developer Tools Technical Specialist at Microsoft. With the launch of Visual Studio 2013 not too far in the distance Giles is going to explore the new cloud based load testing feature coming within the next release. Would you like to be able to execute load and performance tests without having to find, procure, beg, borrow or steal a test rig? Then Visual Studio’s new cloud based performance testing allows you to do exactly that – create a standard load test but connect to a cloud provisioned test rig that spins up for your test, and then gets torn down afterwards. We’ll step through the process in a simple demo.

The second speaker will be Rad Wadas, Test Consultant at nFocus. Rad is going to be presenting a session on the updates to web based test case management and test execution that will be coming with VS2013. This includes being able to create and modify test plans, suites and shared steps through a browser. Rad is also going to demo the updates to the web based test editing which allows you to add step attachments, shared steps, parameterise step data and more!

Following your feedback in the recent poll, we have decided to move the venue to another pub with a private room. We have booked Ruby Blue (subject to a final viewing tomorrow, Friday 30 Aug).

Please also feel free to invite any of your friends or colleagues who have an interest in testing and Microsoft technologies.
