Urban DC Hike Series (Hike 3 of 13): Featuring -- The East Area of The National Mall! A Newbie Friendly and Easy and Flat 4-Mile Social Sneaker Hike (Ⓜ️ Hike Begins and Terminates at the Same Metro Stop)

This hike is perfect for newbies and frequent hikers alike. It passes by many historic buildings and other interesting sights. This circuit hike begins and terminates at the same Metro station for convenience of all members.

We invite you to join MAHG for a series of weekday early evening urban sneaker hikes throughout DC. Each of the 13 unique hikes explores a different area of the city. All of the easy/newbie friendly treks begin and end at the same METRO stop where they start, making them very accessible. There are many ways to see cities, but for anyone desiring a sense of the history and the character of an urban place, the city is best seen on foot. Though Washington DC is only 220 years old, it has a remarkable number of historic buildings, lands, and residences.

Note: We suggest you grab a bite to eat at Union Station before the hike; lots of choices on the main level and on the food court level downstairs.
