How did you discover Mid-Atlantic Hiking Group?

I did a search on meet-up.

What are you looking to experience with MAHG? (examples: walks, transition from walking to hiking, easy/moderate/strenuous/very strenuous hiking, trail stewardship, classes) Please state all that applies to help us plan activities to meet your needs.

I would be mostly interested in moderate hiking and trail maintenance work. I would like to hike more of the Shenandoah mountains and I think it would be neat to do some night hiking.

Are you aware that Mid-Atlantic Hiking Group is a non profit charitable organization and not a club? Our main website is for information regarding the mission we serve, our initiatives and their programs.

I live in the Northern Virginia area and am a graduate student studying social work at GMU. I am a runner, indoor/outdoor climber, and a lover of walking at Carderock.
