What we're about
We are excited for you to join our book club!
We are a group that enjoys the adventure of a good book, wine, and the camaraderie of other strong, book-loving women. We meet the second Sunday of every month at 3:00 P.M. in the Southlake, Grapevine, Euless, Bedford, Keller area for dinner to discuss our thoughts on the chosen book. We typically meet at a restaurant or winery and have a holiday party in December at a member's house; however, should a member wish to host we do pot-lucks and BYOB at member homes.
Our books are nominated by members and then chosen by the highest vote of those in attendance. At the start of the year, we drew a theme for each month and the nominations are based on those themes.
Here is our book list for 2018:
January 2018 - Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant (A book about travel)
February 2018 - The Road by Cormac McCarthy (A book made into a move or TV series)
March 2018 - Life after Life by Kate Atkinson (A book with a great first line)

To ensure that the group runs smoothly and is enjoyable, we adhere to the following guidelines:
1) No shows – Who likes being stood up??? No one!!! Many times we have reservations at a restaurant and it’s disrespectful to no show. Occasionally we will have gracious hosts that open their homes to us, which requires accurate information on attendance. One no show will get you removed from the group, no exceptions.
2) If you do join the group, but do not RSVP for two meet-ups in a row you will be dropped from the group. If you RSVP yes and need to change your RSVP, please be mindful of timing as it will affect the host or restaurant.
3) Beginning December 1, 2017, we will be charging a $15 annual fee. You will not be charged to attend your first meet up; however, at the end of the first meet up your fees will be due. If you do not pay the annual fee, you will automatically be removed from the group. Please note - the annual fee covers the cost meet-up charges to organize a book club, any additional fees will be put toward the year-end Holiday Party.
Hope to meet you soon!
