Traps and snares

  • to
  • This location is shown only to members

  • We will get together and build figure-four deadfall traps and spring snare traps - for catching small game in a survival setting.

And, there might be a possibility that I'll be demonstrating (not teaching because there will not be enough time to teach three traps), an Apache Limb-Wire Trap, used to trap/hunt homo sapiens (warfare trap). No promises though.

    Hail Rangers of the Bay,
Due to Christmas and Christmas Eve falling on a Saturday-Sunday, my weekend availability for December isn't looking great.
Most weekends this December, I'm Ranger-ing at the preserves. However, I'm awaiting confirmation from two organizations for Earthen Ranger Classes that I'm teaching on the 4th and the 10th. One of them may or may not be confirming, depending on how many of their members can attend. Thus, if they cancel to reschedule, then I'll have an opening to run the MER Trapping class.
I'll know before November is over, and if something does become available, I'll post the date asap.

I know I've asked before, I just forget the responses, but does weekdays ever work for anyone?

Also, after the Trapping Class, I reeeeeaaaalllly want to schedule a "Ranger's Safe Haven II".
January/February is what I have in mind. However, those members who participated in "Ranger's Safe Haven I" will have the opportunity to coordinate on a date that works for everyone.

On a side note, can anyone attend your Earth Ranger classes, or do they have to be children?

The Kids-Series classes requires a child of the required age range. However, one parent/guardian can attend per child (for free). The reasoning is, I give all of my attention to the kids, which leaves little to no time for the adults. In addition, the parents really like the aspect of "kids only". Its almost necessary for the age range that I'm teaching to. But, you can always barrow a kid ;)
More importantly for my Middle Earth Ranger brothers and sisters, I'm heavily considering running single-time classes for adults as well, instead of just membership-based on-going classes for adults. And, there will be special discounts/deals for Middle Earth Rangers. ..Lord Commanders are free of course ;)
