Subject: [mike-franco-for-ma-governor-council] Running to hold the judiciary accountable..

By BEN STORROW, Staff Writer, Daily Hampshire Gazette, Wednesday, August 29, 2012
Excerpt here:
Michael Franco, 49, is making his fourth run for the Governor's Council after losing bids in 2006, 2008 and 2010. A local Tea Party organizer, Franco is also the veterans agent in the city of Holyoke.
He said he is running to hold the judiciary accountable.
"I see it's been politicized a whole lot," Franco said. "There's been a blending of people who serve in different branches of government. I want to prevent the politics and the corruption it creates."
He favors having voters decide whether judges should continue serving after a four- or six-year first term, as a way of making the judges more accountable.
"We should try to make it as constitutionally pure as we can - bring it closer to the people," Franco said.
