What is your favorite scary novel? Favorite monster movie?

Oof. Tough questions! House of Leaves might be my favorite scary novel, if only for it's sheer ambition and strangeness. Of course, Graveyard Shift left quite an impression on me when I was younger. My favorite monster movie, if we're being literal, is probably the original Godzilla. Speaking figuratively, "Alien" and "Cabin In The Woods" tie for first place.

What is your favorite horror format? Books, movies, graphic novels, televsion...or other?

Books, graphic novels and TV, generally speaking. There's very few horror films that really scare me nowadays but I almost always find them entertaining. I really enjoyed "John Dies At The End" but it's odd little horror stories from TV series that stay with me, like the original "Twilight Zone" and the sadly unseen "American Gothic" series (which has NOTHING to do with "American Horror Story"). Find me a monster scarier than the kid from "It's A Good Life" and I'll be impressed.

How did you hear about this group?

It was suggested to me after I decided to branch off from my other geeky groups and see what else was out there!
