Cottonwood Art Festival is a juried art show and music festival produced by the City of Richardson Community Events Office. The free event takes place at Cottonwood Park, on Beltline near Coit Rd.
During our visit, there will be live music on the Main Stage by The Bodarks (11:45 am) and EJ Mathews Band (1:30 pm). In case you are interested to go earlier or stay later, there will be music by Almost Jaded (10:00 am) and Mason Adams Project (3:30 pm). There will be an acoustic stage, as well.
In my experience, this festival is very well attended, so while we can post notes in the Meetup app, such as where we might sit for a while to watch music, it may be a challenge to find late arrivers. We will try.
In order to have an easier time meeting before the festival, I have planned to stop in for breakfast tacos at the nearby Tacos Y Mas. However, I do not recommend parking in the shopping center and leaving your car there while attending the festival. They will likely have signs warning against it. I believe the festival site, Cottonwood Park, will have adequate parking for those who arrive early.
