Anyone Used JSON/Lucene in Unity3D yet?

I'm developing a City Builder game, I.e. does not require low latency data connection, and really doesn't need any special server side processing. I'm using Cloudant.com to provide JSON database. My client is connecting to the service, able to read down objects, but is having time out exceptions every time it tries to write.

Obviously, I need to be able to write the JSON objects to the database. I'm wondering if anyone has used this yet. C# is my language, but Java responses would be helpful too. Thanks.

I would also add that I've set the time out as high as 5 seconds and it still times out.

I've stepped away from cloudant, and I am now hosting an MVC4 to JSON Restful Service on my server. working well
