Drum Circle Events Info for October thru December

From: Kristie V.

Hello, Meetup members. Just passing along to you all the drumming
newsletter that I send out periodically to those who are on my
drumming email list outside of meetup (it's a good reminder for
you as well for events that are coming up!!)....
-Kristie

Greetings, Drummers!

I hope you are enjoying the beginning of the
fall season as much as I am (of course, fall is
my favorite season!). And, as usual, I've got
some things to pass on to you.

First, I want to let you know that I have
decided that I will be sending out a
"newsletter" like this much more infrequently.
The reason for this is that, since we have had
the Drumming Meetup site up and running
for a while, people are becoming more
familiar with it, we are getting new members
literally on a daily basis (we now have over
230), and the site is working out extremely well.

So what this means is that I am strongly
encouraging those of you who are interested
in drumming events in the Milwaukee and
surrounding areas but who have not become
members of the meetup group yet to DO SO
It is a great resource and, since events are
posted on the meetup site regularly which do
not always have corresponding reminder
emails being sent out to those who are not
members of the site, it is to your benefit to
check out the site and become a member if
you are interested (or you may miss something
that comes up!).

Also, for all of the drum circles that are listed
below, please check out the meetup site for
details - this is much easier than me repeating
it all here! The website address is:
on the "Meetups" tab at the top of the home
page and then click on "Calendar" in the
drop-down.

Second, below is the schedule for the drum
circles at Good Harvest Market in Pewaukee
for the months of October through December.
Please note that the schedule will be
CHANGING to "every-other Wednesday"
with alternating open and women's circles for
November and December.  And if this works
out, we may continue with this kind of a
schedule beyond December.

Wednesday, October 13th:  Women's Circle
from 6:00 to 8:00 PM

Thursday, October 28th:  Drum Circle
with Lucky Diop, master drummer from
Senegal, West Africa, from 6:00 to 7:45 PM
(NO regular OPEN CIRCLE for
OCTOBER)

Wednesday, November 10th:  Women's
Circle from 6:00 to 8:00 PM

Wednesday, November 24th:  Open Circle
from 6:00 to 8:00 PM

Wednesday, December 8th:   Women's
Circle from 6:00 to 8:00 PM

A good groove releases adrenaline in your
body. You feel uplifted, you feel centered,
you feel calm, you feel powerful. You feel
that energy. That's what good drumming
is all about.
