Milwaukee Empty Bowls

http://www.milwaukeee...
Sat, 10/9, 10:30am-2pm, MATC-Oak Creek campus, 6665 S. Howell Avenue, Oak Creek, WI
Milwaukee Empty Bowls is the LARGEST empty bowls event in the United States.
Through the commitment and services of community volunteers, artists and restaurants, and the sale of handcrafted ceramic bowls, soups and breads, the Milwaukee Empty Bowls annual fund-raising event is dedicated to supporting local food and hunger programs.
Select from over 2,000 original handcrafted bowls, sample delicious soups and breads from over 50 local chefs while listening to live music. Proceeds from your donation ($20 minimum per bowl incl the Grab Bag Express, four bowl limit per person and $10 Kids' Bowls, no limit) will benefit food pantries and meal programs in the greater Milwaukee area. The Grab Bag Express allows you to enter a ?fast track? line in which you can purchase a bowl, but it has been selected for you. The bowls are to be taken home as a reminder that someone's bowl is always empty.

This event took a larger chunk out of my day than I expected but of course worthwhile. And Larry sure does make a mean Hungarian Mushroom Soup!

fun but very crowded and long line and wait time to get in and select a bowl. Soups were interesting and mostly good

Great list of local recipients... I would definitely be up for this.
