Stage Hypnosis Workshop, Sunday Nov 11th

Have you ever been curious about Stage Hypnotism?
Last-minute announcement to make here: As many of you know, the (Informal) New York Hypnosis Meetup Group has been delving into Stage Hypnotism. We've been spending the last few meetings talking and practicing stage inductions, suggestibility tests, simple skits, etc. The meetings are fun, but all agree that we need an actual stage to work on for a true, hands-on workshop.
Well, I'm pleased to say that we've nabbed a space. A good location I was hoping to get just became available this Sunday. I figured, what the heck, why not grab it? So we will have our first Stage Hypnosis Workshop this weekend. Here's the WHEN/WHERE:
WHEN: Sunday November 11th, 3:00-6:00pm
WHERE: Jimmy's On 7th (Side Room) / 41 E 7th St / (7th St & 2nd Ave) / (Below Standings)
Again, this is to be a Stage Hypnosis WORKSHOP, not an actual performance. I envision it working this way: Everyone who wants to be a stage hypnotist will be put into a rotation. One hypnotist will work with the group of volunteers and try out whatever material they would like to try. Then the hypnotist joins the volunteers and the next hypnotist has a go. The idea is every stage hypnotist gets a certain amount of time.
A few ground rules: Every stage hypnotist must be a volunteer. And I want the stage hypnotists to come with something prepared, something specific they would like to focus on. This is only fair to everyone who is participating. Finally, all skits have to be respectful - no one is to be turned into a chicken, no one is to dance naked, nothing embarrassing.
If you are curious about Stage Hypnotism but don't want to jump up on stage, I encourage you to come. This is a learning experience for all of us, and you will be surprised at how much you'll learn even if you just come and watch for a bit.
If you are curious, I urge you to come to tomorrow night's meetup. (Time Warner Center Borders, 7:00-9:00pm) We will go over all the basics and plan for Sunday's workshop.
Hope to see you all there!
