Free class on the 4th of November

Everybody appreciates those moments when one is truly present and fully absorbed in whatever one is doing . Mindfulness is the art of being present. When our everyday life becomes stressful and distracted, mindfulness helps to restore our sense of balance.

It also enables us to be more naturally efficient and to access our inner resources.

"Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgementally."

Jon Kabat-Zinn Mindfulness is now widely taught in businesses and organisations such as Google, the NHS, state secondary schools, Deutsche Bank and other prominent and cutting edge institutions.

The advantages of mindfulness have been scientifically established and it is rapidly being appreciated by more and more people. Mindfulness is for everybody. We draw on current mindfulness teachings and the wisdom and know-how of the buddhist meditation tradition. Everybody is welcome!

Course leaders : Erik Passig MA CPPT senior mindfulness trainer and UKCP registered Psychotherapist and Emily Villegas MA Phil.

The Mindfulness course level 2 is starting on the fourth of November and deepens and develops the skills of mindfulness learned in the previous course. If you have some experience already or you are ready to start with a regular mindfulness practice of twenty minutes a day you can also join.

It investigates what are known as ‘The Four Foundations of Mindfulness’, namely awareness of body, feelings, thoughts and lastly all else that is present in our current experience with a wide open awareness. In other words, we learn to apply the sense of calm and stillness that we have learned, to a broader sense of our environment and others.

We develop the skill to be aware of the world around us in a way that is not grasping or, on the other hand, vague or ill defined. We learn to allow the mind to be “ not too tight and not too loose”. By discovering this ability we can be more effective, helpful, and empathic in our everyday interactions.
