Mindful Astoria: Weekly Summer Meditation Gathering
Join us on Wednesday nights this summer for meditation and conversation about mindfulness. Learn how to bring mindfulness into daily life, and how to establish, maintain, and deepen a personal mindfulness practice.
Each class will consist of instruction in different forms of mindfulness meditation, and time for group discussion and connecting with the community. Depending on the week, the teacher may give a talk or share a reading about a related topic such as working with distractions, mindful communication, compassion, working with emotions, bringing mindfulness to anxiety, home practice tips, mindfulness and social action, and more.
Teacher for this week's class: Emily Herzlin
Emily Herzlin (also the MeetUp group organizer) is a writer, editor, and teacher. She has taught creative writing and mindfulness meditation at Columbia University, The Interdependence Project, Adelphi University, GreenspaceNYC, and Mission to (dit)Mars.
