What brings you here? Tell us about your interest in mindfulness meditation.

I've been practicing mindfulness meditation for about ten years. It took a long time to develop a stable formal daily practice, and having supportive community helped a lot. My practice deepens my understanding of my mind and emotions, and of my relationship to the world and to other people. It helps me to make nourishing choices for myself and work with my stress in healthy ways. I also really appreciate the people who I've met through shared interest in meditation.


I'm a writer, teacher, and editor, trained in MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.) I teach creative writing and mindfulness meditation. I love Astoria and I'd like to meet more people to practice meditation with in the neighborhood.
