You will be introduced to different forms of mindfulness and meditation techniques and learn how to incorporate them into your daily lives. Examples are: sitting meditation, gentle movements of yoga, and mindful walking. There will also be time to share your own experiences. This drop-in class meets weekly for 1 hour. Goals of the class are: learning and practicing different principles of meditation and mindful living; cultivating kindness and compassion for yourself and the community; empowering participants to take an active role in the management of their health and wellness; living more skillfully with stress; creating a safe place for self-discovery, learning, and sharing. The class is appropriate for beginners as well as experienced practitioners.
