The Meditation Toolbox gives you a structured introduction to what it means to meditate. Over the course of six weeks, this course introduces you to a number of the currently popular formats for meditation: Mindfulness, Creative Visualization, and Progressive Relaxation.
Explore questions such as: "What kinds of meditations are there for me to try?" "Am I doing meditation right?" "How do I establish a foundational practice?"
This course is a great place for any beginner to start.
Also, it's a great next-step for anyone who has attended the Free Community Nights that are part of this meetup group. This course goes deeper into the nuts-and-bolts foundations of how and why to meditate. It has more structure.

The following is the detailed schedule.
Each class will follow this schedule.
4:45pm Arrive early.
Participants should plan to arrive by 4:45ish. This will give everyone time to settle in and find a comfortable seat. We will have the doors open even earlier, by 4:30. So, it's fine for you to be early. Also the "chit-chat" time can be the most fun part of the class!
5pm Official start time for class. We always start right on time.
The teacher will start giving instructions for how to meditate starting exactly at 5pm. There will be time to ask any questions you have.
Each class includes
b) Meditation time, between 25 and 35 minutes
c) Wrap-up Discussion
6:15pm - end of class. We begin punctually, we end punctually.
Our space has chairs.
Some of us will chose to be seated on the floor. For comfort, you might want to bring a meditation cushion (zafu). It's also nice to bring a water bottle for yourself. There is a water cooler, but not cups.
Gena Bean will be teaching.
MindfulBoston's interns will be assisting with this class as part of their apprenticeships.
