  • Flexibility Training for Aerialists, Pole Artists, Dancers and Contortionists

    Join Betsy Shuttleworth on Saturday, July 20, from 1-5pm at The Studio Cleveland for a day of flexibility training. Betsy is a flexibility specialist with over 30 years of teaching experience. In 2001, she started studying the techniques and safe approaches to becoming more flexible, past the “normal” definition. It has lead her all around the world for television, coaching and learning from some of the best in the business, including working with performers of Cirque Du Soleil. Five days a week Betsy works with mostly children in my studio that she opened in 1996. One day a week she meets with adult aerial students and also teaches locally around Pittsburgh as well as across the United States. Workshop Includes: -Keeping you back safe -Why a strong core is important -How hips & shoulders play a part -Q&A Upper body, core, hips, shoulders: focus on mobility and strength Skills and drills for bridges, chest, elbows, hand stands and creative poses Maximum capacity: 15 students due to hands-on nature of this class Tuition for 4 hour flexibility training class: $60

There will be an attendant to greet you. Arrive up to 15 minutes early and stay after for a few minutes to chat. There will be a question and answer period at the end of the meditation. This is casual. No experience necessary. We will be practicing a simple type of meditation called Shamatha.     Join The Studio Cleveland for Yoga for every BODY at Edgewater Beach Park! This is a donation-based class and all are welcome to participate! We meet every Saturday and Sunday at 10am on the beach at Edgewater State Park. Please note that during inclement weather, our indoor location is in the pavilion at Edgewater Beach. You will be guided through an all-levels and gentle, relaxing yoga class on our own beautiful beach. Be prepared for sun and the elements! Dress appropriately for the day, bring water, sunscreen and anything else you may need. Bring a towel or a mat to practice on. You can pre-register your spot through Mindbody or leave a cash donation in the jar at the beach! Cash donations accepted in person~ All are welcome to practice
