8 week mindfulness course
NEXT COURSE DATES: Bledlow, near Princes Risborough: The next course is planned to start January 22nd 2019. Each session will be 7pm - 9pm at Bledlow Village Hall, which is just outside of Princes Risborough. ​The 8 week course costs £250. This covers 22 hours of contact time; 8 weekly sessions (7pm - 9pm), and a day retreat (10am - 4pm) which is planned for either 9th or 10th March (date and venue tbc). You will also get a handbook and on-line access to all practices from a dedicated Mindfulness Chilterns You tube Channel or a OneDrive link with recordings by Jane. Questions? Want a booking form?     What we're about

    Living in a frantic world?

    Juggling busy lives seems to be the expected ‘norm’ these days; head overloaded with work, family pressures, endless emails, books we ‘must’ read, films we ‘have to’ see, not to mention eating the right foods and fitting in exercise. It’s no wonder that our brains get stuck in the ‘doing‘mode and then can’t switch off when it’s time to go to sleep. We spend our lives in our heads, going over what happened during the day or planning how we are going to deal with the next, real or imaginary, problem.

    Mindfulness meditation offers an alternative way to constantly being in the ‘driven’ doing mode. It teaches us how to stop, breathe, and start to live in the present moment because, in reality, that is the only ‘real’ moment we have. Rather than focussing on what we need to do, to get, to achieve, to reach our goals, it helps us to realise what we already have and to appreciate that.

    We are a friendly group who come together to practice mindfulness meditation in the community of like-minded people. Everyone is very welcome, whether you are completely new to mindfulness or have experience. There are a range of options available from taster sessions, a course to learn mindfulness, a sitting group and retreat days.
