We're back! Bhakti Festival Dublin 2019!❤🎵❤ After the phenomenal success of our previous two festivals in 2017 & 2018, where we had glorious days of chanting together, over 180 of us under one roof (!), raising just under €3000 in both years for our charities, we are absolutely delighted and so excited to announce Bhakti Festival Dublin is back in 2019!

💫 Save the date, Saturday October 19th, 12 - 9pm, and get ready this year for a blissful 9 hours of total bhakti immersion, raising our hearts voices and much needed funds for our two charities, Bray Lakers & Kolkata Sanved.

💫 Bhakti Festival Dublin is a celebration of sacred music and meditation, a day of continuous devotional music in the form of Kirtan (call and response chanting) and other forms of chanting. It is also a fundraiser for the charities outlined below. No experience of these music practices are needed. The aim of these practices is to connect to your heart through your voice and dive into the experience of singing as a way to relax the body and mind and nourish the Soul. The intention of the Festival is to uplift hearts, through the power of devotional music, with some of Ireland’s well loved chant leaders.

💫 Join us, with Yasia Leiserach, who has been leading “Come and Sing Your Heart Out” Kirtan for the past 8 years here in Dublin, along with Felicity Ananda Kirtan who has established the first regular Kirtan practice in South Dublin, 'Kirtan in Glasthule' and the heart opening Chanting & Chai, a collaboration of musicians, who have been leading the wonderful bi-monthly Chanting afternoons on the Northside of Dublin, and Shridhi Sai, who have regular Divine chanting gatherings in Dublin City for over twenty years. And more groups tbc!

Full bio and information about the musicians who will be contributing on the day to follow.

The two wonderful charities we are supporting this year are:

Kolkata Sanved
Kolkata Sanved is a non governmental chairty supporting women recovering from sex trafficking in India. Kolkata Sanved uses Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) as an alternative approach to counselling, psychosocial rehabilitation, expression, and empowerment for victims of human trafficking and violence.

Bray Lakers
Bray Lakers Social & Recreational Club is a community-based sports, social and recreation club for children and adults with an intellectual disability. The club provides a wide range of sporting and educational services to members across Leinster from its centre in Bray, Co. Wicklow. We have been in operation since 1989 and currently have 400 members supported by 150 volunteers and staff.

We so look forward to connecting with you & chanting our hearts out!
