What is "Movie & Discussion Evening"?
This is an ongoing event hosted by Common Source Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising spiritual awareness.
We will be showing films addressing a wide variety of subjects with the intent of finding the spiritual meaning behind them. The movie will be followed by a friendly and informal discussion.
Cost: $10 per person to cover cost for renting the space and refreshments. $5 per person if you bring snacks to share - please email [masked] if you plan to bring something. Discount will not be honored without prior approval.
MYTHOS: THE SHAPING OF OUR MYTHIC TRADITION
Beginning Wednesday, October 5, we will be meeting every two weeks to watch and discuss a series of lectures given by Joseph Campbell, an American mythologist, writer and lecturer, best known for his work in comparative mythology and comparative religion. Schedule for evening:
6 pm: Welcome and brief breathing meditation to leave all the stress of the week at the door. Guided by Garan Gwyn and Tarw Llwyd of Common Source Association.
6:05 pm: Movie, popcorn and snacks
After movie: Friendly discussion about the movie, its meaning and relevance. More snacks. You can stay for the discussion or leave after the movie if you wish.
