What we're about
This is a monthly support group in the North Bay for gay/queer men interested in spirituality. The format is discussion, combined with brief periods of meditation, and informal instruction.
Mindfulness, Meditation and Miracles
Mindfulness is an increased awareness of the present moment—without judgement.
Meditation is a practice of concentrated focus upon a sound or the breath in order to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth.
A “miracle” in The Course in Miracles is the conscious choice to look at our experience in a different way.
Often, reality doesn’t match what we expect or want. We can exhaust ourselves as we try to change the external world or find a way to alter our thinking and feeling—often through acceptance.
Any one of these three activities or a combination can be seen as a spiritual path or practice toward increased peace of mind and contentment.
