Mission Statement:

We are an open and inclusive meditation group, with compassion for everyone as our singular focus. All are welcome, regardless of race, nationality, sexual orientation, religion, political affiliation, social station, and health status. We believe that anyone can approach and practice meditation on their terms, utilizing basic techniques to connect to the breath, while simultaneously learning how to remain present in each and every precious moment. We are not here to lead you to a path of enlightenment, but instead support you on your journey. Our intention is simple: meditate, discuss, connect.

Schedule:

Tuesdays - 7:00pm - 8:00pm (1 hour meditation)

Thursdays - 7:30pm - 9:00pm (short meditation & book discussion)

Sundays - 9:30am - 10:30am (1 hour meditation)

Meditation & Mindfulness Discussion

First Christian Church

We will meditate for 20 to 30 minutes; followed by a 45 - 60 minute discussion. The discussion topics will be drawn from our topics jar. The purpose of the discussion is to expand our mindfulness practice by sharing our lived experiences, struggles, and our personal and spiritual growth. The best approach to take while participating in the group is to listen to, watch, share how the topic applies to your life. Passing is an option. We are not aiming to resolve one another’s problems, but empowering each individual to find their own answers. Our intention is simple: share, listen, support. Namaste.

If you have a preferred meditation cushion, you can also bring that, but we do have chairs and a few spare cushions. If you have any questions, please let us know! NO COST. DONATIONS WELCOME.
