What a nice evening we had, We went to browse Downtown Ridgewood, then we went to see the Christmas lights go on, and last, everyone was in the Office on time without being late! :-)

We had dinner in which my California Burger was spicy and juicy and watch the band ''Dog house'' which played good song selections that we liked.

The best part was everyone surprised me with a pre birthday brownie Sundae candle with everyone at the table and the band singing happy birthday to me which I did not see that coming, almost got teary eyed!

Thank you all for coming and hope you enjoyed the event as much as I did. :-)

A couple of favorite restaurants I like in Ridgewood is East Coast Burgers, Baumgart's Café, Raymond's The Office, and Harry's Burritos. We can take a vote and get into little groups after the Christmas Tree lights go on.

Wear sneakers or comfy shoes, tree is on Broad Street - first block near train station. There is also a great live Rock cover band playing at 9:00pm at "The Office". bar/ restaurant in town. I believe it's Chestnut Street. "The Doghouse band" plays until 1am. I know the lead singer- they are awesome! 80's covers, Kiss, Greenday, Grateful Dead, Def Leopard, The Who, Queen, Metallica, Van Morrison- all well represented!

Attention all RSVP (Christmas Tree Lighting) attendees [fairly long message!]: I co-organized this event with Tom last year and - although fun - elements of it were unbelievably chaotic. Tom did a great job last year organizing and making people comfortable. I am probably not going to go on Friday but a couple of key suggestions for all of you to consider:

    1) Parking is insanely chaotic - I think I parked half a mile away from the green/ park. A small number of you WILL run late or possibly give up upon entering the town. I am not discouraging you...just warning you. I gave out my cell number last year and fetched a number of you 1-2 hours INTO the event last year. Be prepared.

    2) Later in the evening last year, the group settled at Fish Urban Dining (East Ridgewood Ave) for some cocktails. Great place to meet up or unite with group if necessary. The area around the train station will be crazy with crowds and all!

Thank you for a moment of your time, as I wish to help!

MEETUP news correspondent Michael with the live report, thanks Mike, now a word from our sponsors! :-)

      Very nicely said, Michael ....

I , along with many others, was caught up in this much "mentioned havoc" last year.

This will be very helpful to those who plan on attending, this year. Ty

I am absolutely JEALOUS of all of you going to this event!! I can hardly wait to meet as many of you as possible when I'm there next month!! :-D If you take a video of this moment, maybe you can share it with me! :-))

    • TOM

If you are lucky, you get ''Free Parking''! :-)

      November 28

  • TOM

    WHERE TO PARK AND MEET:

Park on the side of Stop & Shop Parking lot facing T.D. Bank. Do not park at T.D. Bank. Meet at the front entrance by the shopping carts.

We will meet at 6:00pm, then start walking at 6:30pm to downtown Ridgewood. If you are going to be later, then meet At Starbucks coffee located on Ridgewood Avenue.

If you can't find us after you show up later, than meet on the last block before the stage where you see a toy stand in the middle of the street.
