API (Application Programming Interface) involves a lot of capacities that can be gotten to and executed by another middleware system. Along these lines, it fills in as an interface between various programming systems and sets up their association and information trade. In the modern world, many companies, mobile apps, IoT and payment gateways rely on API web services development and testing. When developing new software or application, as a QA it’s in every case great practice, to begin with API-level testing as opposed to coordinated UI-useful testing. During the API testing, we can cover usefulness, unwavering quality, execution, load and security testing of the endpoints and validate the response.
In order to perform API testing the use of a good framework. Cypress is a robust testing framework, easy to create your automation and no configuration is required to start writing your tests. All the API testing tools that you are already familiar with are included as well. Cypress also operates at the network layer by reading and altering web traffic on the fly. This enables Cypress to not only modify everything coming in and out of the browser, but also to change code that may interfere with its ability to automate the browser.
How to execute API testing using Cypress

Verify request and response in Cypress
Stubbing & mocking API’s in Cypress
