Possible archaeological and/or Black Hills trip - Mid to Late August

There's an archaeological pedestrian survey I'll be involved with in the Black
Hills Aug. 29-Sept. 5. It actually starts the week before. They may be taking more
people... I would guess some experience would be good, but whatever the case,
you need to contact the person in charge. I can give you her name. It is being
run like a volunteer Passport in Time (PIT) project, however without that
designation.

The project planner just posted on Facebook (she is great fun and runs a good program!):
Attention all Lost Boys and Adventure Girls: you can volunteer to help look for
archaeological sites in the Black Hills. Free camping, fun, educational
programs. Last two weeks of August (Aug 22-26 and 29-Sept 2). Contact me if you
are interested.

As noted, I am doing the last week of the project. As an additional FYI, I will
be heading out there likely Wed., Aug. 24, to do some things before the project
in the Black Hills (probably an overnight at the Badlands, too). Plus, going
into Labor Day I plan to head south to attend the big Rock and Mineral Swap at
Crawford, Neb - which includes agate hunting field trips - and will likely camp
at Fort Robinson State Park at Crawford, which is a wonderful park. I plan to
drive home on Labor Day.

If anyone is interested in going out there and carpooling, you could find things
to do the week of the archeology project in the area, if not participating in
the project. You will be in a GREAT location!

Let me of your interest in any part of this... Thanks!

Whoops, I should have said I'd be at the project Aug. 29-Sept. 2. The drive home is Sept. 5.
