ARC Volunteer Day at Chicken Run Rescue!
• What we'll do Join us for our 3rd Annual ARC Volunteer Day at Chicken Run Rescue! RSVP as soon as possible as this popular event is limited to 20 people! RSVP HERE on the AR Meetup. Chicken Run Rescue has been rehabilitating and making a home for injured and abandoned chickens since 2001. Please join ARC’s Chicken Chore Party at CRR as we help to get the birds’ playgrounds ready for spring! We will be performing any tasks that need doing, including garden work. There will be plenty of variety for all levels of strength and mobility. Vegan refreshments will be provided. Event is from noon to 3:00 PM. You can see photos from last year’s event here: CRR is located in the South Metro area about 30 minutes from Minneapolis and St. Paul. For security reasons, CRR is a closed sanctuary open only to staff, volunteers, and invited guests. We will send out the exact address to those who RSVP YES prior to the event. We can help assist with carpools from the metro. Please post if you can take folks in your vehicle or if you need a ride. What we're about

If you're looking for a place to connect with other people who care about making the world better for all animals and you're ready to start taking action to realize that vision, this is the group for you. We are experienced, active, effective, and BUSY! There are lots of opportunities to help, like leafleting, protests, vegan food giveaways, tabling events, teaching workshops, reaching out to companies to work with them on changing policies, letter writing, sending furs to wildlife rehabs to help orphaned and injured wildlife - we do it all! We welcome people who are at different points in their journey, but our group's values include not using animals for any human purposes. We're working to liberate animals from all human oppression and we do not support efforts that encourage using animals in a "nicer" way. We love to eat and socialize as much as anyone, but there is already a wonderful, active Minneapolis Vegan Meet-up group that holds dine outs, potlucks, and other social events. This group is focused on increasing participation in animal activism in Minnesota. It's still a great way to meet people and socialize, but social events are not our major focus.
