Join us for our September event sponsored and hosted by RBA in downtown Wayzata.  This is a FREE event and a great opportunity for networking and the latest insights in mobile development.

September Topic - Fundamentals of Code Portability

A mature codebase can have extreme value given the amount of time, effort, and money which is poured into the typical enterprise business system. Code portability is a common problem dating back to the roots of C and incompatible CPUs. We’ll look at how the compiler is fundamental to code portability and how libraries unleash the developer to solve business problems quickly. The discussion is general to software development, but applies specifically to C and Java, and arrives at a summary of the portability of C#.

Presented by Ben Horgen

Ben Horgen works for Zebra Technologies Corporation and is an experienced technologist with a strong background in hardware and software engineering. Coupling his 15+ years of hands on engineering experience with a degree in Organizational Leadership, Ben focuses on helping teams deliver software in a solution focused and time effective manner.
