Twin Cities GLBT Pride Parade - Jun 28 - 10:30 a.m. - Minneapolis

Minnesota Atheists strongly support equality for all of our fellow humans. Our fellow citizens are discriminated against by our government by limiting rights which are granted to heterosexual couples, such as the right to marry, and other rights, including the ability to visit partners in the hospital and adopt children. Join us as we march in the annual Twin Cities GLBT Pride Parade. We'll meet up around 10:30 a.m. to march on Sunday, June 28th near 3rd St S and 3rd Ave S in Minneapolis. Come wearing your Minnesota Atheists t-shirt, or march with us to get your own!

If you can't make it to march, stop by our booth in Loring Park. We are usually located in the southern end of the park, near all of the church booths.

We will be participating in the pride festival all weekend long, so stop by the booth to volunteer if you wish. The entire festival is fun and family friendly.

The "Hug and Atheist" was popular. Thanks to all who were willing to carry the signs. We also had one marcher with us who was from Mississippi.

Great event. Lots of cheers and love for the atheists at Pride, and the booth was a hive of activity.

This parade isn't just about gay liberation. It's really about sexual liberation and personal liberation generally. And isn't liberating ourselves from traditional religious attitudes and ideology what atheism is all about?

Bring your PURPLE Minnesota Atheists t-shirts! If you don't have one, you can get one at the march. There is a $5 suggested donation, but if you can't spare that, don't worry.

Just a note for those who are curious: You don't need to be gay to attend.
