Annual Planned Parenthood Solidarity Event - Good Friday 3/29 (http://www.plannedparenthoodadvocate.org/2013/02/good-friday-solidarity-day-is-march-29-join-us.html)
Will you join hundreds of Planned Parenthood supporters at the Vandalia St. & University Ave. health center in Saint Paul on Friday, March 29 as we rally for women's reproductive health care? Shifts are available between 9am and 4pm!
>R.S.V.P. today! (http://www.ppaction.org/site/Survey?ACTION_REQUIRED=URI_ACTION_USER_REQUESTS&SURVEY_ID=8727)
The event is free and open to any supporter of healthy families and women's rights. We'll provide the signs, you just show up with friends ready to stand up for Planned Parenthood.
Why Good Friday? Why the need for solidarity? Every year on this day, hundreds of anti-women's health protesters gather outside our health center to intimidate our patients and attempt to disrupt our work. It presents an opportunity for supporters of Planned Parenthood to come together and celebrate what makes the organization, its volunteers and its activists so great and so necessary!
They'll be opportunities to Pledge a Protestor (https://secure.ppaction.org/site/Donation2?df_id=6094&6094.donation=form1&JServSessionIdr004=0v7kua2jc2.app214a), buy t-shirts, sign up for action and volunteer opportunities, and much more. Please R.S.V.P. today to stand with Planned Parenthood on Good Friday and we'll see you on March 29!

Message from Planned Parenthood:
Come rain or shine (or snow!), we'll be rallying on Friday, March 29 from 9:00am-4:00pm for our annual Good Friday Solidarity Day, and we're so excited you'll be joining us! Please reference this email as you make your Good Friday plans, as there are lots of details below.
Getting Here - Directions & Recommendations:
We'll rally outside our flagship health center at 671 Vandalia Street in Saint Paul (https://maps.google.com/maps?q=671+vandalia+st&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&hnear=671+Vandalia+St,+St+Paul,+Minnesota+55114&gl=us&t=m&z=16). Parking is notorious in this neighborhood, so we encourage you to carpool, take the bus, or ride your bike to Good Friday! We will be rallying along Charles Avenue at the corner of Pillsbury Street, so please enter our rally area from that corner and not from Vandalia Street to avoid conflicts with our opposition.
We are conveniently located just off University Avenue and the 16, 50 and 87 MetroTransit bus routes (http://metrotransit.org/).
If driving, take the Vandalia/Cretin exit north, and look for parking in the blocks north of University Avenue, but be careful to pay attention to restrictions, and be prepared to walk quite a few blocks.
What to Bring & What to Expect:
Dress for the weather! Extended forecasts predict weather in the 40s or 50s, but we all know how quickly that can change for better or worse. There will not be tents or shelter provided, so come prepared. Complimentary coffee, lemonade and water will be provided, and food trucks will be stationed on our side for breakfast and lunch options (bring cash!). Thanks to Gastrotruck, Simply Steve's and Potter's Pasties for participating this year!
Planned Parenthood will provide homemade and official rally signs, along with opportunities to snap pictures at our photobooth, share your Planned Parenthood story, buy newly branded t-shirts (cash, check or credit card) and Pledge a Protestor (http://www.ppaction.org/site/Donation2?idb=0&df_id=6094&6094.donation=root). Please do not bring any homemade signs or wear clothing with homemade slogans. At the bottom of this email are the Rules of Engagement we'll ask you to sign when you arrive on March 29.
Three lives bands will entertain throughout the day, and at 11:00am and 1:00pm, our friends from the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice will conduct non-denominational religious services.
Finally, a reminder that this event is free and open to any supporter of Planned Parenthood, so please invite your friends and family to join us (it's okay if you diverge from your RSVP time or bring others with you - we'll be ready for you!).
If you have any questions, please call (612)[masked] or email [masked] .
