You’re invited to attend Freethought Toastmasters, a club of Toastmasters International and a place where you’ll find familiar faces you know from Minnesota Atheists.
Come, listen to toastmaster members speak, and consider joining.
For our December 16 meeting we will forego our normal Toastmaster agenda and have a solstice party! We will start off with a potluck dinner. Bring to share a dish you like, if you wish. But do not feel obligated. There will be plenty of food and drinks.
Freethought Toastmasters collects no Club dues, so after dinner we will have a fun fundraiser. It is the Club’s only source of income. First, we will have an open floor. Climb on your figurative soapbox and exhort any cause you wish, for as long as you wish – for $1 a minute. Then we will have a White Elephant Sale. Bring some item from home that you are not using, and auction it off. To exercise your Toastmaster skills, you have two minutes to regale us with a sales pitch before the auction begins!
This meeting will be an Open House, so everyone is welcome. Come for some good food, some bargains, and to learn about our very unusual Freethought Toastmasters Club!
