Volunteer with MN Atheists! - Food Packing at Emergency Food Network warehouse

Take the late afternoon off on Thursday, April 10 and join your atheist friends at the Emergency Foodshelf Network (EFN) for a rewarding volunteer opportunity. We will begin sorting and packing food at 1:00pm at the EFN food bank warehouse (please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out the volunteer waiver). The food we pack will then eventually be distributed to various food shelves throughout the Twin Cities.

EFN is a secular, NON-faith based non-profit organization whose mission is to to "serve the hunger needs of our changing communities".

Please show up at the warehouse [masked]th Ave. North, New Hope, MN) a few minutes early and be sure to wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothing! There will be a short waiver for you to sign at the EFN warehouse before the shift begins.

After our hard work is completed some of us might meet up at a nearby eatery for some food and drinks.

The Minnesota Atheists is a partner organization of Volunteers Beyond Belief.

umm. ...of accomplishment. Is there a God of proof reading? I could use one.

Happy to oblige, but still slightly less amusing than me trying to operate a cardboard compactor.

Don't fret! You can always fall back on your proficient box cutting skills.

Thank you to everyone who was able to be there and help today. We packed enough food to help feed almost 2,000 people in need!

I'm on call for work tomorrow. Would it be OK if I had to leave early in the event they do call me?

Yes, this is a volunteer event and if work calls then that is the priority. We and the Food Bank are happy for whatever time you are able to spend in our window of time.
