If you didn't catch this science fiction thriller in the first-run theaters, here's your chance to see it on the cheap. Only $3 for admission to director Duncan Jones' follow-up to Moon (and if you didn't see that one, sf fans, get the DVD).

The plot:

When decorated soldier Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up in the body of an unknown man, he discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. A government experiment called the "Source Code" enables him to cross over into another man's identity for the last eight minutes of his life. Colter must re-live the last eight minutes of one of the victim's lives over and over again until he solves the mystery of who is behind the bombing and prevent their next attack.

Reviews have been good, with David Denby of The New Yorker commenting that "the movie is a formally disciplined piece of work, a triumph of movie syntax, made with a sense of rhythm and pace, and Glyllenhall, who is always good at conveying anxiety, gives Stevens's desperation a comic edge."

Afterwards we'll head over to a nearby Davanni's for pizza, hoagies, and heated conversation about time travel paradoxes. For those who've already seen the flick and want to get in on the geekfest, we'll be at Davanni's by 3:45 p.m. Here's the address:

5937 Summit Drive North

Be there. It's unlikely you'll get a second chance.
