Little Canada Book Club - "City of Truth" by James Morrow

For our August meeting we will be discussing the book " City of Truth" by James Morrow.  This is a lighter read, which will give us time to read ahead for our September book, " Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies" by Jared Diamond.

From Publishers Weekly:
Morrow's nearly perfect satiric novella takes place in the dystopia of Veritas, where everyone tells the truth or faces harsh punishment--which Jack Sperry risks when he learns that his son Toby has a fatal disease and that by lying to him he may enable Toby's cure.

Please note that we will be meeting on Saturday this month instead of Sunday, due to a schedule conflict.

I enjoyed the book, the food, the conversation and the company of other atheists. This meet-up is a monthly highlight for me, and sometimes I wish the conversations we have here could go for hours more.
