Announcing a new Meetup for Minnesota Atheists Meetup Group!

What: Wabasha Street Caves Tour, Saturday, June 19th, 11:45 a.m., St. Paul

When: Saturday, June 19,[masked]:45 PM

Wabasha Street Caves
215 Wabasha Street South
St. Paul, MN 55107

So you've been living in the Twin Cities how long and have never gone to the Wabasha Street Caves? Here's your chance to experience a part of St. Paul's bizarre subterranean history. From the Wabasha Street Caves website:

"Come hear and see the history of these sandstone caves. You will explore the original mined caves and see the finished caves (once a romantic night club called The Castle Royal). Hear the legends of the mobster massacres and ghostly lore in the most unique setting from Chicago to San Francisco. 45-minute walking tour - reservations not required."

We'll take the noon tour (added for the summer) and will be at the entrance by 11:45 a.m. Tickets go on sale at 11:50.

Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for students, and free for kids under 5. No credit cards or checks are accepted, so be sure to have enough cash in your pocket.

For more information, visit the website:

Afterwards, those of us who have worked up an appetite from all that spelunking will head over to Backstreet Pizzeria on 193 Robert Street South for a hearty lunch.

Hope you can make it!
