Announcing a new Meetup for Minnesota Atheists Meetup Group!

What: Discussing Atheism and Humanism - Sept 21 - 1 PM - Ridgedale Library

When: September 21, 2008 1:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: Humanist or Atheist? Both? Neither? What is the difference? Do those differences matter? Organizations like Minnesota Atheists and the Humanists of Minnesota in some way define their mission by those two terms, atheist or humanist and members will make decisions about which group they want to be affiliated with, in part, because of the name. However, there are also members who will not have anything to do with the other, because of the name of the organization. There are obviously strong feelings about the labels these organizations have applied to themselves. If atheist groups get you fired up, or humanist groups do, come down to the Ridgedale Public Library as we bring together George Kane and Jeannette Watland representing atheists and Paul Heffron and Matt Labo for the humanists for a panel discussion on atheism and humanism.

After we determine the winner (we're all winners) there will be dinner at Wanderer's Garden just down the road from the library.

This meeting is free and open to the public.

The schedule for the meeting is as follows:
