A one-day course in some photography basics - Composition and the triangle of ISO/F-stop/Shutter Speed. (Manual Settings) If you are an beginner photographer, and want to learn some of ways to make your photos better - then this is the workshop for you!
This workshop will be held at Scarletfish Studios in downtown Ocean Springs from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. Bring your cameras and camera manuals, and something to take notes. We'll be shooting as well to reinforce what you've learned (might go to the beach). We will break for lunch and eat downtown somewhere. You will receive an excellent photography reference/instructional book: "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson that is yours to keep, as well as a flexible mini "gorillapod" tripod, that is tough enough even hold a DSLR and lens. We will be heading outside downtown and/or go to the beach for practice. If there is enough time, we will critique our work at the end of class.
DSLR cameras are not necessary for the course. Any camera is fine.
(6 students minimum for the class to make. If it does not make then it will be rescheduled) Students need to be registered on the meetup website as a club member to attend, so if you have any friends who would like to come, have them sign up! :-)
