Next Meetup

Mixed Media Mondays now joining Papercrafting meetup 3rd Tues
Come, take an evening out for yourself, and let your creative imagination run. This is a time to play in your art journals (or scrapbooks, canvases, etc.) and have fun sharing ideas with other creative peeps. This is not a class, but a time to work on your own projects. Each meeting will include a very short demonstration featuring a technique such as working with Faber-Castell Gelatos, Tim Holtz distress products, stencils, embossing powders, gesso, molding paste, glass bead gel, Gelli Plate® printing, etc. There are many tools available for use at our host shop (punches, stamps, embossing folders, Cricut machine with loads of cartridges, etc.), so it's a great time to try new techniques! Suggested supplies- Art journal, scissors, paper trimmer, preferred adhesives, your own inks, craft heating tool, paper, and anything else you prefer to use. We will meet the same night as the papercrafting meetup, since we have loads of room to all do our own thing. You can also leave your space set up and return the next night, if you want two straight days to work on your projects. If you have an idea or desire to learn a specific technique, please message me. RSVP required by 11 AM the day of the meetup, or message me after that to see if we're meeting.

What we're about

If you would like to explore what Mixed Media is all about, or if you'd like to work on your own projects and maybe share some techniques with others, please join us! We are open to a variety of crafting groups, so let us know if you are coming to focus on Mixed Media, and we will be ready! Feel free to come to observe, ask questions, or have a mini-lesson on a project. RSVP required, and we accept donations in lieu of charging a fee. Do not feel like you have to contribute in order to attend, though any amount helps us to pay for being part of Meetup.com.

Special-project classes will occasionally be posted here as well, and any fees required will be included in the descriptions of those classes.
