Join Us and Explore Gutherie & Children's 70,000 Costumes! Then lunch.

Hello!

Tickets may be purchased at the door or online:

Ever want to see costumes from Guthrie and Children's Theatre productions REALLY close up? Now you can. On Saturday October 5th at 11:30am, you can tour CostumeRentals at 855 E. Hennepin Ave.

There are some 70,000 costumes—counting pieces like hats and accessories—from more than 500 Guthrie and Children's Theatre productions. Find out how they are made, and how the director works with the costume designers to create the individual looks. 40 minute tours cost $12, $7 for groups/students/subscribers.  We will get the $7 tickets.

Directions to CostumeRentals:

From Downtown Minneapolis: Take the Hennepin Ave. Bridge across the river. 855 is on the left hand side shortly after Hennepin curves to the right

From 35W Northbound Take the Hennepin Ave. exit and turn left onto Hennepin Ave. 855 will be on the right hand side in about 4 blocks

From 35W Southbound Take the Stinson exit, turn left onto Stinson to Hennepin Ave. Turn right onto Hennepin Ave. 855 will be on the right hand side approximately 4 blocks after crossing 35W

I'm so curious about to see this, please just us! We can grab lunch after the tour, likely somewhere within walking distance (suggestions?).

Sincerely,

Strange, it only states one attended (me I think), but this event had one of the best turn outs! 18-19 people I think!

I have always liked the lunch after the event with another meet-up group. It was unfortunate, I thought, that we couldn't do that today.

I agree, it seemed like many had to leave, some wanted a quick lunch and others wanted a sit down. In the future, I think I'll just pick a place and participants can choose to joins us or not. Too many people to come to a consensus at the event. It was great to see you. I want to go back with my daughter's play group!

By the way, which was your favorite "genre" of costumes?

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I found this tour/experience amazing. Highly suggest to anyone!
