Would you describe the work you do more as engineering, craft, science, or art?

A mixture of engineering and science. Of course there are some dallops of craft, and a great piece of software is also a work of art.

Do you have any suggestions for software topics you would like to discuss with this group?

Seeking to create or locate situations in which my design architecture skills can be exercised and compensated.

What do you see as the most exciting or interesting trend in software? Why?

The trend toward increasing development tool power to create object-oriented code (the objective being to minimize code size and maximize reuse) is the most exciting thing I see out there.
