Mobile Café: Mobile context, M-Commerce & Digital magazines

  • Jul 18, 2013 · 5:00 PM
  • One Shoe

This Mobile Cafe we will take a look at mobile context, get an update on the latest m-commerce facts and explore the digital magazine landscape from a birds-eye perspective.

Have we outgrown the mobile context?
Arnoud Blankenstein - One Shoe

With a zillion different screen sizes and the use of multiple devices to achieve a goal, the traditional definition of mobile seems to get more and more problematic. While responsive design solves part of the problem, we seem te become confused about what we should be displaying - or not displaying - on mobile devices. In this presentation Arnoud Blankenstein advocates a more holistic approach when it comes to designing for the web.
This presentation will be held in dutch.

Mirjam Luijten - Pinch

PINCH recently launched PocketShop and Kado to go. Pocketshop is a low-key shop app framework that enables everyone to open their own shop app.
Kado to go is the first app launched with this framework. During her presentation she will update us on the latest facts on mobile commerce and share her experiences with the launch of the first shop app Kado to go.

Digital magazines
Thijs Zoon - Prss

Thriving in digital publishing has proven to be a difficult endeavour for both starters and traditional publishers. Exploring the digital magazine landscape from a birds-eye perspective we'll show which strategies seem to work for the digital era. For the reader, publisher and advertiser. With TRVL as an example, we'll show how publishing digital magazines provide a great experience for readers and advertisers.

Open space / Discussion

For those who are interested in giving a presentation or start a discussion about a mobile related subject, we offer an open space/podium. Share your knowledge, give a presentation about your latest project or a subject that blows your mind! The only rule is that the presentation should not be drenched with commercial intentions. So, feel free to contact us and the stage is yours!
